VIBHOR-Shimla International Literature Festival is a Literary Festival like no other! This festival is a celebration of literature, art, music, poetry, and, freedom of expression. The festival will take place against the stunning backdrop of the Himalayan foothill, in the historic Gaiety Theater on The Mall, right in heart of Shimla.

The Festival will draw over 70 writers, artists, academicians, scholars, humanitarians, politicians, t.v and cinema personalities, publishers and entrepreneurs from India and abroad.

Over the span of 2-days, we will host panel discussions, workshops, book readings, talks, debates, book launches, music and dance performances, art and craft, and cultural exhibition. We will bring together the best minds in the world of Hindi, English, Urdu and Regional literature. The Festival will also have a cultural fair and short-film festival as parallel events.

This year the theme of the festival is “The World of Dreams and Imagination”.

Over and above the extravaganza, Shimla International Literature Festival will provide the life-changing opportunity to the readers, audience and aspiring authors to turn their dream into reality by providing them the publishing opportunity through its special initiative, “I Am Author”. In addition to this, we will be screening 4 short-films at the festival and will also be hosting the cultural fair in order to promote local craftsmenship. 




Festival Director & Producer

Swati Sharma

Swati Sharma is a writer, publisher, and festival director. She has authored various coffee-table books published by DNA (Daily News and Analysis). Swati is also an author of the humorous women-fiction novel, Fashionably Yours, which was published by Harlequin India. She has written for various magazines and newspapers in the past. Swati is also the event director of India Dialogues Conclave.

Nidhi Sharma

Nidhi Sharma is the CEO of Across The Road Advertising and Events. She is also the founder of the non-governmental organisation, Nidhi Foundation, which works on the education and nutrition of the children of the migratory workforce. Recently, Nidhi has been appointed as the chairman of Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE), Uttar Pradesh Chapter.
