Minakshi Chaudhry Kanwar is a writer, socially active citizen and a motivational speaker. The Trust is running KHUSHI a Day Care Centre for Elderly Women at Solan which completed successful two years recently. The speakers in the series included Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam former President of India, Mr Justice Kurian Joseph Judge Supreme Court of India, Mr Vinod Rai, former CAG, Sunita Narain environmentalist, Prof Yash Pal and others.

Minakshi did her schooling from Nigeria, West Africa. After completing her post graduation from HPU she worked as a reporter with the Indian Express. After her marriage she left full time job and became an author.

She has written 18 books including the bestsellers Ghost Stories of Shimla Hills, More Ghost Stories of Shimla Hills and Love Stories of Shimla Hills. Minakshi has written several books like Coffee Table Books on Kullu valley and Solan Hills. Her critically acclaimed books include Sunshine-my encounter with cancer and A World Within, story of daughter coping with her father’s dementia/Alzheimer’s problem.

Karuna Singh

Karuna Singh opened the Earth Day Network office in India in 2010. This is now expanded to cover other countries in Asia as well. This is the only international office Earth Day Network has outside of the United States. Under her leadership, the number of programs held in India alone has grown exponentially and today touch close to 35 million lives annually.

Her ongoing commitments include board membership of the Global Environment Facility, UNDP and the Government of India Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change’s Small Grants Program. She also chairs their Committee for the North East Region of India. Ms. Singh has been invited by the Asia Pacific Network for Global Change Research, Japan to provide expert advice to develop a South Asian hub for collaborative research and capacity building toward climate preparedness and change management.

She is regularly called upon to make presentations. These include speaking at the 2015 UN Conference of Parties 21 in Paris on ‘Women Panchayat Leaders and the Environment’. Ms. Singh has also spoken at US State Department conferences in Sri Lanka and Thailand, and at a South East Asia conference in Myanmar. Ms. Singh is the author of several articles and eBooks.

Throughout his career within the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, spanning over 30 years, Sanjeeva Pandey has maintained an abiding passion for the Himalayas, especially for conservation of the Himalayan environment. Raman had a creditable record as a captain during his celebrated career, and is regarded highly as a coach and thinker in the cricketing fraternity. He got his first break in sports anchoring the same year, when he joined the TV Today network as their Sports Correspondent. Nikhil moved to NDTV in 2004 as their Sports Anchor and Correspondent. His 12-year stint at NDTV saw him rise to the position of Head Sports (TV & Digital). Under Nikhil’s leadership, NDTV Sports established itself as the undisputed leader in the sports news genre across the country, both in the TV and the digital space. He also drove the ambitious project that saw NDTV’s TV and Digital teams come together under the same umbrella, to ensure greater synchronization.

He is currently a consultant with NDTV, and working on various projects with Sony Pictures Network and All India Football Federation. In 2017, Nikhil launched India’s first literary festival on sports– ‘SporTale’, as its co-founder. An event that generated huge interest amongst the Indian sporting fraternity, and created a buzz in both the mainstream and social media circles.

Nikhil is ranked in the Top 2% of social media influencers in the cricket community by social media analytics and intelligence platform ‘Klear’.
